Joshua S. Radis

Josh Radis began working in the entertainment industry over 20 years ago, and has served as an entertainment attorney and television legal & business affairs executive for studios and networks for more than a dozen years before turning to represent writers, directors, performers, producers and intellectual property owners at Nelson Davis.  Born and raised in Los Angeles, Mr. Radis earned a bachelor of science in business administration from the prestigious Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley (Go Bears!), and obtained his law degree from the UCLA School of Law where he graduated in the top 10% of his class and became a member of Order of the Coif.

 Mr. Radis began his legal career at the law firm of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP where he represented studios, distributors, networks and production companies in connection with the development, production, financing and licensing of film and television content, while also advising on copyright, trademark, defamation, privacy and right of publicity issues.  He then went in-house to Turner Entertainment to work on original programming efforts for TNT and TBS.  Prior to joining Nelson Davis, Mr. Radis most recently served as the head of scripted business & legal affairs for A+E Studios, History and Lifetime where he was responsible for talent deals, rights acquisitions and structuring business models for original scripted content, and closed licenses and co-production deals with multiple buyers across all television platforms, including Apple, Netflix, and Hulu.   

 Before attending law school, Mr. Radis worked at Warner Bros. Television Productions on such classics as The Drew Carey Show and The Gilmore Girls following college internships at NBC and Brillstein-Grey.
